Did you know that around 60% of journeys, we take, between one and two miles are by car? Choosing to use the car less, even just once a week, can make a big difference to your health, purse and the planet.

Â鶹¸ßÇå groups in Â鶹¸ßÇå and Bute could see their wishes and ideas come to life through the council’s Â鶹¸ßÇå Benefit Scheme.

Children in Â鶹¸ßÇå and Bute who were born between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022, can be registered for a funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) place the week beginning Monday 22 January 2024.

Â鶹¸ßÇå and voluntary groups can now apply to a new fund to help create new facilities or improve open spaces in their local area.

Children who turn five between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025 can be registered for primary school during the week beginning Monday 15 January 2024.

Â鶹¸ßÇå and Bute Council is coordinating a multi-agency response following a small quantity of light crude oil surfacing from an underground pipeline in the area local to Finnart Ocean Terminal, Â鶹¸ßÇå and Bute.
